Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda, where we gather for fellowship, networking, and goodwill-building opportunities. Our club is the oldest Kiwanis Club in Montgomery County, Maryland, celebrating more than 80 years of supporting our community! Our members participate in service projects benefiting children while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow club members.
We support various organizations in Montgomery County through volunteering and our foundation. Like most Kiwanis clubs, we also have a signature service project: The Miracle League of Montgomery County, an organization that gives all children the opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. We also partner with other Kiwanis Clubs in the DMV area for service and fellowship ranging from luncheon fundraisers to county-wide food collections. We would love for you to join us!
The Kiwanis Mission & Vision
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide β so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through Kiwanis Community Service Projects
Kiwanis Service
Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world itβs located. Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.
Our Kiwanis club focuses on changing the world by serving children, one child in our community at a time. To reach more people and have a greater service impact on their communities, many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club β K-Kids for primary school children; Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.
Kiwanis Capital District
As part of Kiwanis International’s Capital District, our club helps to support the 8 pediatric trauma hospitals in the Capital District. The Capital District includes all of the Kiwanis clubs in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware.

This past weekend our club and Division 3, along with Division 1 and the entire National Capital Region, welcomed Capital District Governor Eric Lamb at the Kiwanis Family Open House at the Miracle League! Seven clubs from across the region showed up to volunteer and share in fellowship. Thanks to Governor Lamb and Lieutenant Governors Wayne Quick and Selena Anderson and Trustee Dr. Marie Bowe-Quick for making this weekend a success! More photos will follow soon. ... See MoreSee Less
